Tactical Training Center - NJ Gun Store and Range (TTC)

This review is long overdue. I am in my mid 60s and started shooting several months ago for the very first time. It was something at the top of my list at retirement. I did a lot of research into finding a range and instructional center that had a reputation for providing comprehensive instruction that I felt confident and safe in. The Tactical Training Center has been nothing short of exceptional. They take instruction and safety protocols to a high-level of professionalism and care. I have had several instructors: Brian, Tom, and Mike who have all taken the time to key in on know my needs and set goals for my progress. Four months into the process and I look forward to being an active participant at TTC.

This place is great. Reasonably priced for what you get in comparison to anywhere else in Jersey. But the service is top notch. Friendly helpful staff that is always willing to help you out and accommodate any request they can. I have kept these guys here late working through a problem with one of my guns and although I am sure they wanted to leave they helped me work through it and gave me the time I needed. This is a place for a first time shooter but not an amateur if you get what I am saying. It is laid back and professional here. This is not the place to come and goof off. But if you are an avid shooter and would like to avoid standing next to what you will typically get at one of the bigger name places that cater to walk ins then this is your place.

( My oldest has taken junior firearms camps and safety courses here as well and I highly recommend and will do a separate review) This occasion was to celebrate my sons birthday and was a last minute small party (covid stuck the guest list down). From the beginning the guys running the even were kind, easy going and helped everyone to have a blast. They were knowledgable, made the younger guests feel special and gave us ample time for our monies worth- which I was nervous about it being overwith too fast for the steep price. Expensive for laser tag I originally was quick to label it but I left feeling that every penny I spent was well worth it and than some. It was very hot inside the warehouse - in May. It is a large generous space which would be costly to cool but it would not stop us from returning. The music, lights and fog contributed to the great overall atmosphere. This is laser tag all grown up! But kids 10 and up should handle it fine as well. In my opinion.

This place is hands down a great shooting facility. Everyone there is extremely friendly, helpful and informative. I did not know this place existed. I went for a friend’s birthday celebration and TTC hosted about 12 of us-mostly women. There were a lot of first time shooters and everyone was able to feel comfortable holding a gun before stepping into the range. No question went unanswered. Thank you. Lance was awesome. So were the other range patrols but I forgot their names. We spent a little over 2 hours there. This facility is very clean and modern. When I first entered, it looked like a lounge at a clubhouse. I like this place very much. My friends and I will be back.

My family and I went on 5/12/23 to celebrate my birthday and we had the best time! From the young man who greeted us to our instructors Brian and Peter, both were super awesome! They were super knowledgeable and helpful ! Michelle was super nice when we checked out. Highly recommend this to any beginner who wants to learn the proper way to shoot

I went here for the first time last weekend with some of my friends and was impressed with the store the second we walked in the door. Employees were helpful and the owner Dan was the best help of all. He and his staff listen to all your concerns and let you get a good feel for all firearms in the store with no questions. We told him we will return to try out the range next week. Fast forward to the range day and the wavier is your standard firearm range waiver you see at countless other locations. We got a booth which was actually bigger than other places I been to in NJ. The system is very easy to send and recall targets as well. Best part of it all is that the range is quiet even with other shooters present inside. I would strongly recommend this fantastic establishment to anyone who owns firearms or looking to get into firearms. Keep up the great work guys because you will be having us return shortly.
